Our Dingley's Promise Tidworth is opening its doors in Autumn 2025 to provide a place where children in the Early Years (aged 0-5) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), come to develop skills through play. We also support families directly with information and training and provide advice to mainstream settings to help them include children with SEND.
About Dingley's Promise
Since 1983, Dingley's Promise has transformed the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We currently operate 12 specialist Early Years Nurseries across the UK. Our specialist Nurseries offer families sessions from 9.15am to 2.45pm, term time only.
We have three vacancies for Family Support Workers for our New Centres
Poole - 1 Full Time Family Support Worker (All year round) 1 Part Time Family Support Worker, hours for the role would be 27.5 hours (9am-3pm) term time with 11 hours worked during School Holidays
Christchurch - 1 Family Support Worker, hours for the role would be 27.5 hours (9am-3pm) term time with 11 hours worked during School Holidays,
Family Support Worker Responsibilities
With the support of the Centre Manager, the Family Support Workers will offer early intervention to the families of Dingley's Promise by providing direct support, building peer support systems, and signposting to other relevant services that can benefit the children and their whole family.
* Ability to work in partnership with other professionals and build relationships between different organisations.
* Support families to understand and successfully take part in the new SEN process – including Education, Health and Care plan as well as finding out more about their rights and entitlements.
* Supporting families with completion of paperwork and relevant forms to support their child/family.
* Approachable and friendly to parents/carers, able to listen to them and accept their feelings, which may include distress, and be non-judgemental. Actively encourage families to join specialised support groups and connect sessions.
* Represent the charity within the community by working positively with professionals, local businesses, and families.
* To be a named Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for the Centre alongside the Management Team.

Candidates qualified in Childcare are encouraged to apply. SEND & Family Support Worker experience is desirable. Opportunities to gain qualifications are offered to successful candidates.
