Secondary Science Teacher
Location: Hereford
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term
Working Hours: Full time, 8:30 am – 15:30 pm
Salary: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
1. Play a key role in shaping student’s understanding of scientific concepts
2. Creating engaging hands-on activities to demonstrate scientific principles.
3. Assessing student’s progress through assignments
4. Adapt teaching techniques to individuals to help them grasp complex topics
5. Ensure safety in the classroom which includes proper handling of equipment.
6. Managing classroom behaviour to create a positive learning
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physics, Biology, or Chemistry.
8. Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
9. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
10. Right to Work in the UK.
11. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
12. Ability to provide two professional references/cover the last 2 years in full
