Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Yorkshire, UKWe're looking for a motivated Paraplanner to join our clients busy practice team supporting independent financial advisers. This is a genuine paraplanning role for someone who values the craft of technical financial planning and wants to build a career in the profession.You'll be working closely with our clients Practice Team Leader and supporting advisers across client reviews, new business cases, and ongoing service work. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professionally curious, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team.Report Writing & Technical Work:Produce high-quality suitability reports covering new business, pension transfers, and investment adviceWork collaboratively with advisers to sense-check recommendations and ensure suitabilityConduct financial analysis using cashflow modelling software (Dynamic Planner)Complete attitude to risk assessments and produce client reports using Dynamic PlannerResearch and analyse investment funds and products using FE AnalyticsChallenge and refine adviser recommendations to reach the correct client outcomeEnsure all work meets FCA suitability requirements and Consumer Duty obligationsMaintain comprehensive file documentation to compliance standardsClient Support & Administration:Analyse information received from Letters of Authority and data gathering exercisesLiaise with product providers to resolve queries and chase outstanding informationAssist with death claims and beneficiary support processesSupport annual service work and client review processesMaintain accurate client records on Intelliflo office systemTrue Potential Integration Work:Support the firm's True Potential platform integration projectAssist with client data migration and validation workComplete TP-related cases and documentationQuality & Compliance:Review and sense-check adviser work across all areas including vulnerability assessments, capacity for loss, and recommendation justificationsParticipate in file quality reviews and continuous improvement initiativesStay current with regulatory changes and product developmentsMaintain professional development through relevant CPDTechnical Knowledge:Understanding of UK financial services products (pensions, ISAs, investments, protection)Awareness of FCA regulations and suitability requirementsAbility to analyse financial information and assess riskStrong written communication skills for report writingPersonal Qualities:Self-directed learner who can use resources (online learning, technology tools, provider support) to research unfamiliar conceptsReceptive to feedback - we need someone who learns from mistakes professionally without defensivenessAttention to detail - accuracy matters enormously in this roleTeam player - you'll be working closely with a small, supportive teamRealistic career expectations - this role is for someone who values paraplanning as a profession, not just a stepping stoneProfessional confidence - able to challenge constructively when neededPractical Skills:Competent with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)Comfortable learning new software systemsAble to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesStrong organisational skillsDesirable but Not EssentialPrevious paraplanner, administrator, or relevant financial services experienceCII qualifications (Level 4 Diploma or working towards)Knowledge of financial planning softwareUnderstanding of trust planning, estate planning, or IHTTPBN1_UKTJ
