£35,000- £45,000 (based on experience) | Full-time | Permanent | Ipswich - in office
At Fleximize, we’ve lent over £500 million to small businesses across the UK, won multiple awards, and helped thousands of business owners fulfil their ambitions — but we’re just getting started.
Our mission is to make life better for business owners through flexible funding, unrivalled customer support, and meaningful engagement at every stage of their journey. As we continue our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Audience Engagement Manager to take ownership of how we connect with our audiences through email marketing, events, and campaigns.
The Role
As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of Fleximize’s marketing activity across channels, with clear ownership of people management, website performance, marketing budgets, and CRM‑driven customer journeys.
You’ll manage and develop the marketing team, oversee the performance and optimisation of our website, and use data and automation to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who combines leadership with strong commercial thinking and a focus on measurable results.
* Marketing Strategy & Delivery: Lead the execution of the marketing strategy, translating business objectives into activity that drives customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
* People Management & Development: Line‑manage and develop members of the marketing team, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and support to build a high‑performing, collaborative team.
* Website Ownership & Performance: Take full ownership of the Fleximize website, ensuring content is accurate, on‑brand, SEO‑optimised, conversion‑focused, and continuously improved. Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver enhancements and updates.
* Customer Acquisition & Retention: Plan and deliver marketing activity that attracts new customers and nurtures existing ones, using performance data and audience insight to optimise the full customer lifecycle.
* CRM & Marketing Automation: Own and optimise CRM and marketing automation activity, supporting segmentation, lifecycle communications, and personalised campaigns that improve engagement and retention.
* Email Marketing & Campaign Management: Own and deliver email marketing campaigns end‑to‑end, including planning, segmentation, content, scheduling, and performance optimisation. Use CRM and marketing automation tools to drive engagement, nurture journeys, and improve acquisition and retention outcomes.
* Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is allocated effectively, delivers value for money, and supports priority campaigns and business goals.
* Campaign Planning & Delivery: Oversee integrated marketing campaigns from briefing through to delivery and evaluation, ensuring deadlines, quality, and ROI are met.
* Performance Measurement & Reporting: Track and report on key metrics including website performance, campaign results, acquisition costs, engagement, and retention. Use insight to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, CRM, content, and customer teams to ensure consistent messaging, joined‑up journeys, and clear commercial impact.
* Agency & Supplier Management: Manage relationships with agencies and suppliers, ensuring high‑quality output, clear expectations, and strong performance against objectives.
* Event Management: Plan and deliver a programme of high‑quality events, managing end‑to‑end delivery, budgets, suppliers, and performance to drive engagement, lead generation, and commercial impact.
