Company Overview
This thriving South Wales manufacturer is looking to further strengthen its existing Manufacturing function following the acquisition of several lucrative new contracts. The company has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is the supplier of choice for many of the world's leading equipment manufacturers.
Role & Responsibilities
* Manage projects from enquiry stage through to manufacturing, ensuring handover to the customer on time and within budget.
* Oversee the Design and Validation plan for new projects and develop cost reduction programs aligned with customer needs.
* Act as the main contact with the customer within the APQP process, interfacing with engineering, quality, purchasing, and logistics.
* Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and instructions.
* Support the Purchasing team in developing existing and new suppliers to meet APQP requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Ideally hold an engineering-related qualification such as BEng, HNC, or HND.
* At least 3 years of project management experience.
* Experience managing products from customer enquiry to customer handover.
