Overview
We are working with a specialist electronics manufacturer to recruit an Electronics Engineer for their site near Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of electronics, embedded systems, and product support activities within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and resolve electronic, software, and calibration issues in production
* Write, debug and maintain embedded and host software for products and test systems
* Carry out PCB layout, schematic capture, prototyping, and board-level testing
* Improve calibration and characterisation processes for existing products
* Support the development and introduction of automated test equipment (ATE)
* Liaise with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver improvements
* Ensure compliance with QMS (ISO9001) and contribute to continuous improvement
About you
* Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or a related technical discipline
* 2+ years’ experience in electronic product development and support
* Strong PCB CAD, prototyping, test and debug experience
* Knowledge of circuit design and simulation to transistor level
* Familiar with digital and embedded systems design
* Programming experience in C/C++, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar
* Understanding of EMC, DFM, and DFT principles
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and ISO9001 compliance
