The Role
As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will be partnering with business leaders and managers to deliver a proactive, commercial HR service aligned to business objectives and provide confident, pragmatic advice across the full employee lifecycle, including performance, absence, conduct, grievance and capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and/or support employee relations cases end-to-end, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
* Coach and upskill managers to build confidence and capability in people management and decision-making.
* Support organisational change activities (e.g., restructures, consultation, TUPE where applicable), providing guidance and coordinating people impacts.
* Work closely with stakeholders across the business and HR (recruitment, payroll, L&D and reward) to deliver a joined-up people plan.
* Support talent and succession planning, development planning and engagement activity to improve retention and performance.
* Analyse and present people data (e.g., absence, turnover, ER themes) to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
* Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation; identify and recommend policy/process improvements.
* Maintain accurate documentation and case notes, handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
* Undertake additional project work as required to support the wider People agenda.
Your Profile:
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Demonstrable HR generalist/HRBP experience, including advising managers across a broad range of people matters.
* Professional Human Resource experience, ideally within a contact centre environment (desirable); confident working in a fast-paced, demanding setting supporting c.200+ employees in a standalone role, using strong initiative.
* CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or actively working towards a CIPD qualification.
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice, with confidence managing employee relations cases.
* Confident working with multiple stakeholders at varying levels, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build credibility.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
* Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), with confidence producing reports and tracking actions.
* High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism; able to handle sensitive information appropriately.
