Java has grown to be the most prevalent and widely used programming language for years, and we are working on an opportunity for a senior Java developer to continue the great work Java does. As the senior developer, you will be working alongside another senior developer and the tech lead, overseeing the 6 juniors within the team. You will be mentoring, coaching, and doing line management, as well as managing the expectations of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In terms of the technical side, you will get to use Java 12 in a Spring Boot format. You will work within a GCP environment with the platform stack using Kubernetes on GCP, defined by Terraform and GitLab managing the source code and CI/CD pipelines. We are looking for an engineer who can come in with experience in designing and building cloud-native solutions. Most importantly, they want someone who has a real passion for software craftsmanship and has a “you build it, you run it” mindset.
