We are recruiting for a Customer Consultant to work at our Bolton Branch. The role includes engaging in conversations to find out customers’ needs, providing information about our savings range, products and services, and helping them review their circumstances and goals while delivering a straightforward, helpful service that lets your enthusiasm and professionalism shine.
Our branches are the heart of local communities, yet customers increasingly prefer online transactions. By supporting customers face to face, virtually, and via outbound contact, we reach them at relevant times.
Whether promoting a new product or resolving a problem, you will place customers’ needs at the heart of everything and provide a first‑class service every time.
As a Customer Consultant you are more than a friendly face and voice – you are a listener, problem solver, and in time, a fountain of knowledge to help customers achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities
* Be the First Point of Contact: warmly welcome customers in‑branch and over the phone, leaving a positive first impression.
* Engage and Understand: ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customers’ needs, ensuring tailored solutions.
* Listen and Tailor Solutions: listen carefully to each customer’s unique circumstances and offer personalized solutions that meet their needs.
* Proactive Outreach: proactively reach out to customers over the phone, identifying their needs and discussing how we can support them.
* Maintain Accurate Records: use internal systems to keep customer records up‑to‑date, with a focus on vulnerable customers.
* Adhere to Policies: understand and adhere to policies, standards, and controls, receiving comprehensive training and coaching.
Qualifications
* Previous experience interacting with customers, either in person or over the phone.
* Experience in banking, building society, retail, food & beverage, guest services, health/care or contact centre environments is desirable.
* A passion for delivering exceptional service and going above and beyond.
* Ability to work well alongside others with a one‑team mindset.
* Ability to react quickly during busy periods and manage a wide variety of customers with excellent time management.
* Desire and ability to grow, adapt, and change while accommodating business needs and priorities.
