The Career Path
Start with a classic Friday midday finish while you learn the ropes (Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45, Fri 08:00–12:00). Once you’re a fully trained expert, you’ll transition to our 4-on, 4-off shift pattern.
That means working just 177 days a year with a generous Shift Allowance added to your pay. More money, more time off, more balance.
The Mission
You won’t just be "assembling parts." You’ll be building the pyrotechnic cartridges that power Martin-Baker ejection seats. When a pilot needs to get out in a split second, your work is what makes it happen. To date, our technology has saved over 7,700 lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working in our specialised Cartridge and Rocket team, you’ll handle high-stakes precision work:
* Precision Assembly: Building low-complexity (Category 1) cartridges from technical drawings.
* The Final Touch: Inspecting, packing, and palletising rocket motors for global shipment.
* Quality Control: Visual inspections to ensure every component is life-saving ready.
* Safety First: Operating within strict explosive safety protocols and 5S standards.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist, but you do need a mechanical mindset. We want:
* Hands-on Experience: A background in manufacturing or component assembly.
* Technical Literacy: You can read a drawing and understand basic data.
* Reliability: You’re a team player who stays cool under pressure.
* Safety Conscious: You take pride in following strict instructions to the letter.
