The Service Planner will be responsible for coordinating daily job activities of the Wireline/Flowline service workshop for internal/external departments and customers. The role involves job planning prior to local arrival or the importation of service, repair, or recertification work under Inward Processing (IP) regulatory procedures, ensuring compliance with IP goods movement conditions throughout NOV and external suppliers.
The Service Planner will update all relevant paperwork regularly and liaise with other departments regarding compliance and shipping to ensure timely and correct completion within the agreed lead times.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Update clients on completion schedules for their service orders.
2. Perform client interface duties as required.
3. Maintain professionalism and support our mission, core values, and objectives as determined by senior management.
4. Perform additional tasks as instructed by the Service Supervisor/Manager.
5. Receive Orders Approvals (OA’s) from Sales, create work orders and routings, input parts lists, update workload schedules, organize manufacturing requests, purchasing requisitions, and daily action sheets. Ensure project orders, lead times, and availability requests are processed accurately and promptly.
6. Close projects efficiently in the ERP system, ensuring all costs are captured at completion.
7. Update Sales teams on sales order deliveries, especially when changes occur to the Master AM Workload Schedule.
8. Assist Sales with quotations by providing relevant information.
9. Support Project Planning and Timescales using tools like Microsoft Project or Visio.
10. Present key information at client update meetings as required.
11. Hold delay update meetings with the Service Supervisor and Workshop Teamleader to discuss order changes.
12. Liaise with the sales team on delivery and availability issues related to customer orders.
13. Support other departments and perform duties as reasonably required by the line manager.
14. Assist with product identification (HS Codes).
15. Complete all safety training, training plans, and competency standards per company guidelines.
16. Comply with NOV quality policies and requirements of the Quality Systems Manual and Workplace instructions.
17. Assist with operational NCRs and participate in quality (ISO, API) and HSE audits related to service operations.
18. Coordinate with NOV compliance & shipping teams on IP service, repair, and recertification orders.
