Role Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Underwriter to join our successful Financial Lines team at Allianz. The role will be located in London, Maidstone, Chelmsford or Bristol and you will be required to do 3 days a week on site/in office.
As part of this growth and ambition, we are now looking for a talented, ambitious and passionate underwriting professional to join us on our journey to build a 'Best in Industry' team which sets the gold standard within the Allianz Group.
The role will include everything from pricing risks, chasing in new business, and analysing claims data, to implementing bespoke scheme arrangements; including answering day to day queries from Brokers, and ensuring that renewal terms are sent out in accordance with our compliance rules and regulations, developing broker relationships through regular broker visits and collaborating with your colleagues in other departments to support our ambitious growth plans.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £45,000
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
As the Financial Lines Underwriter you will be responsible for;
Underwriting new business enquiries received by brokers, actively engage in prospecting activities to secure new business growth.
Negotiating within authority and referring where appropriate to maximise customer growth including persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action.
Providing excellent service to our customers
Collaborating and building a successful relationship with the Regional and wider UK Financial Lines Team
Building successful broker relationships
Achieving agreed financial performance targets
Collaborating strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery
Processing renewals and mid-term adjustments
Sending out documents to Brokers ensuring that we adhere to compliance and regulation
Essential Skills
Track record as a confident negotiator
Experience of building, developing and maintaining positive broker relationships
A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Highly customer focused with good influencing and negotiation skills
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
Desirable Skills
Trading skills would be advantageous
Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
