As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you will lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in ten care homes throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. You will be expected to support the performance of each home, ensuring it meets the highest clinical standards. You will review the clinical governance database and KPIs each month, analyze results, and identify practical strategies to meet regulations and improve the care we deliver.
Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff in each home, you will support continual improvement of standards, help implement key actions to address any issues, organize new training, help attract key senior clinical staff, and deliver clinical investigations. Your leadership and passion for delivering the best will make a real difference to the residents. Due to the regional nature of the role, a willingness for regular travel is essential.
To join us as a Regional Clinical Development Nurse you must be a Registered Nurse (General) with a current NMC registration. You must provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. An experienced nurse, you should have worked in a care home environment and be a confident clinical mentor, including with newly‑qualified nurses. Your leadership, analytical mind and ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver action plans will enable you to deliver impressive results.
