Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
1. Risk assess product features, prioritising testing appropriately.
2. Develop and execute test plans.
3. Test the web application, both manually and technically.
4. Develop and maintain test automation suites.
5. Code reviews; and provide feedback to less experienced members of the team; technically.
6. Contribute to technical direction of team.
7. Test functionality and integration of in-development cameras.
8. Assemble hardware setups involving IP cameras, networked devices.
9. Write readable, persuasive Bug Reports.
10. Contribute to the Test team’s continual improvement culture.
Basic Requirements
Please note, this position is on location in the Edinburgh City Centre office.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing software tools for web applications hosted in the cloud; and emulated network devices. They will have a software background and experience with hardware. They will be used to contributing technical expertise to a team.
Required Skills:
11. Experience as Software Test Engineer.
12. Experience writing tools to help stress web applications.
13. Experience developing Java automated tests.
14. Playwright or Selenium.
15. Performance test experience.
16. Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
17. Familiarity with computer networking and video technology.
18. SQL.
Other Skills:
19. Regularly investigate, develop and integrate new techniques and technologies.
20. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
21. Self-motivated and proactive.
22. Well-organised.
