Night EngineerLeeds, West Yorkshire£45,500 to £57,200, dependant on experience37.5 hours per weekPermanent Nights, Sunday to Thursday, 9:30pm to 5:30amThe CompanyOur client is a modern and well recognised manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Night Engineer to support the reliability and performance of the production operation.The RoleThis Night Engineer role will focus on carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive engineering support during non-production hours, helping to ensure the smooth running of production and packaging equipment across the site.This is a hands-on role involving fault finding, continuous improvement activities, equipment installation, and supporting site reliability.As a Night Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site equipmentDiagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faultsSupporting automation systems to minimise downtimeAssisting with equipment installations and commissioningMaintaining maintenance records and engineering documentationSupporting continuous improvement activities across the siteWorking closely with production teams to ensure smooth handoversEnsuring all work is completed safely and in line with company proceduresMaintaining a clean and organised working environmentThe PersonTo be successful in this role, you will have:ONC, C&G, BTEC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringPrevious experience within a maintenance engineering role in FMCG or manufacturingStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skillsBOAS qualificationExperience working within a fast-paced production environmentGood communication and organisational skillsA proactive approach to maintenance and problem solvingComfort working permanent night shiftsThe following would also be advantageous:Welding or fabrication experienceFLT experienceProject management experiencePrevious experience within food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturingKeywordsNight Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, FMCG Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician, Preventative Maintenance, Fault Finding, Manufacturing, Packaging, AutomationAt Winsearch, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.INDWINOur clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
