Job Title: Project Engineer / Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer
The company specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of diesel, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered engines for various applications worldwide.
The role involves collaborating with trade associations (government bodies, etc.) on new engine emissions legislation and supporting the development and production of engines that meet regional, environmental, and governmental legislative requirements.
This is a key role that will influence the design and development of current and future engine systems, including conventional and hydrogen engines.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ideally hold a degree in engineering, science, environmental studies, or related fields.
2. Strong technical understanding of engine systems, combustion systems (e.g., ICE, Hydrogen, Hybrid), and experience in design, testing, emissions, research, aftertreatment, quality, or compliance, approvals, and conformance.
3. Good attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
4. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory requirements and standards related to new emissions to engineering teams.
6. Applicants with backgrounds in homologation, certification, and compliance are highly desirable. However, applications from those with interests and skills in safety engineering, type approvals, engine/emissions testing, calibration, quality assurance, etc., are also welcomed.
7. Experience working within an engine product development environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, nuclear, marine, power generation) is advantageous.
The role is aligned with a senior engineer level within the company, with opportunities for progression to Principal Engineer.
Location:
This is a full-time, office-based role in Derbyshire. Relocation assistance is available. The position is accessible from Rocester, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton.
