Overview
Arcavia Consulting is working in partnership with one of the New Hospital Programme (NHP) construction partners to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major new hospital project.
The successful candidate will take a pivotal role in the leadership and delivery of a complex, highly regulated healthcare facility, working closely with the client, clinical stakeholders and the wider supply chain.

Role & Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful end‑to‑end delivery of the project, including but not limited to:
* Part of the project leadership of a major UK healthcare / hospital construction project
* Acting as a key interface between client, clinicians, contractors, consultants and programme stakeholders
* Managing programme, cost, quality, risk, safety and compliance across all project stages
* Providing strong on‑site and off‑site leadership through design, construction, commissioning and handover
* Ensuring full compliance with NHS standards, HTMs, HBNs, statutory regulations and best practice
* Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing third‑party consultants and contractors
* Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and delivery challenges
* Reporting progress, risks and performance to senior stakeholders and programme boards
Working Model
The role will operate under a hybrid working arrangement, including:
* Home‑based working
* Regular time in London for programme and client interface activities
* Site‑based presence once the hospital location is formally confirmed
* Specific requirements with vary during project stage, client and employer requirements and the location of the project.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
Essential
* A proven track record of delivering UK‑based healthcare or hospital projects
* Experience working for, or directly alongside, main contractors or major construction partners
* Strong understanding of complex clinical environments and regulated projects
* Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior client relationships
* Ability to operate effectively within public‑sector and NHS governance frameworks
Desirable
* Experience on NHP or other major public‑sector healthcare programmes
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. MCIOB, MAPM, RICS or equivalent)
