Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are seeking the right person to fill the role of ICT Operations Team Leader.
Role Overview:
As the ICT Operations Team Leader, you will lead a team of professionals in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining ICT projects, business applications, internet and intranet systems, graphical information systems, and managing all aspects of information management. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with the organization's goals, objectives, and compliance with government regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage ICT projects and teams to deliver effective ICT services.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of ICT systems and applications.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Make independent decisions affecting the organization, including working evenings and weekends as needed.
* Build professional relationships with customers to understand and meet their needs.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant subject.
* ILM Level 3 Management Diploma or equivalent.
* Practitioner level PRINCE2 project management certification.
* At least three years of experience in ICT delivery, service transformation, and business change within a local government environment.
* A minimum of one year's management experience.
* Strong understanding of project delivery, application support, web team management, information management, and GIS.
* Proven ability to manage resources using recognized project management methodologies.
* Knowledge of current ICT service delivery issues and techniques relevant to local government.
