Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English who thrives in a supportive and nurturing environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and collaborative English department in a warm and welcoming secondary school in Ealing. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025.

About the Role:
* Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and sharing their ideas.
* Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including drama, debates, creative writing workshops, and technology, to bring English to life for students.
* Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our English curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
* Foster a love of English in students, encouraging them to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in English education.
* Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as book clubs, debating societies, and school productions.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in English Language and English Literature.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for English and relevant examination specifications.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
