MathWorks is looking for engineering talent to join the Engineering Development Group (EDG), a proven technical and leadership development program. The role offers flexibility to explore a variety of projects, receive mentorship from industry experts, and develop skills across full‑stack software development, high‑performance computing, AI, embedded systems, and more.
Program Overview
The EDG program supports growth within our Software Development organization, providing learning opportunities in languages such as C++, MATLAB, JavaScript, and Go. Participants benefit from extensive training, mentorship, and a collaborative environment that values diversity and inclusive work.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high‑quality software used by engineers and scientists worldwide.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support customer technical challenges and product usability.
* Contribute to technical projects across the Development organization.
* Lead process improvement projects, mentor peers, and build leadership skills.
* Explore different teams to discover your passion and transition to a full‑time development role.
Qualifications
* Master’s/Ph.D. or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
* Strong academic record with excellent communication and time‑management skills.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language; object‑oriented programming knowledge preferred.
* Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
* For those with a bachelor’s degree, three years of professional experience (or equivalent) required.
