Job description
Qualifications Wales is the independent regulator of qualifications and the Welsh qualifications system in Wales. Our role is to ensure that qualifications offered meet the needs of learners, parents, carers, schools, colleges, awarding bodies, and society at large. Our latest annual report provides insights into our work.
We are seeking a Strategic Engagement Manager to support our public affairs and business engagement activities—shaping our narrative and advancing our mission to build and maintain public confidence in the Welsh qualifications system.
This role is within a multidisciplinary team of engagement and communications specialists. As a trusted adviser, you will provide strategic advice on stakeholder relations and engagement strategies.
You will develop creative engagement approaches to broaden our influence and act as a bridge between Qualifications Wales and key stakeholders, sharing insights to improve understanding and perception of qualifications in Wales.
Your responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive engagement program that promotes the value and relevance of qualifications, including National Qualifications, AS and A Levels, vocational qualifications, and the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales.
A primary goal of this role is to enhance recognition and understanding of Welsh qualifications among business, political, and other stakeholders.
