Overview
Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist - Inpatient position in Sussex. Permanent role in the Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS service, focusing on delivering a safe, effective and caring service for young people aged 13–18 admitted to the inpatient unit and their families/carers. Based in Haywards Heath, Chalkhill, within a leading children and young people’s service.
Responsibilities
* Provide senior medical leadership and clinical care for inpatients aged 13–18 with mental health problems, within a multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in the development and delivery of safe, evidence-based inpatient care pathways and care plans.
* Liaise with families, carers and external services to ensure comprehensive support for young people and their social and educational needs.
* Engage in professional development, teaching and supervision within the Trust’s consultant network.
Recruitment & Benefits
* Recruitment and Retention payment of up to £45,000, structured over three years:
* £15,000 payable upon successful recruitment
* £10,000 payable at 12 months of service
* £10,000 payable at 24 months of service
* £10,000 payable at 36 months of service
* Pro rata for part-time employees
