Job Description
This role will include assisting the kitchen team in all aspects of Kitchen operations. This position involves the preparation and cooking of meals for service, operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves, and ensuring a safe work environment is maintained.It is important to be flexible about shifts as it is likely this role will include breakfast shifts.
Our breakfast chef is trusted with the preparation and control of our breakfast buffet. Punctuality is very important and this role works largely unsupervised, with early morning starts and early/mid afternoon finishes. The breakfast chef is also responsible for organising the daily lunch time duty meal.
Qualifications
Chef qualification or equivalentexperience
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Ability to work effectively in fast paced environments
Excellent communication and team work skills
Ability to work unsupervised
A high level of spoken and written English skills
A passion for adventure and exploration, a drive to work in one of Australia's largest National Parks and be surrounded with history and culture
