Overview
The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. The NHSCFA is recruiting an experienced Fraud Investigator to work within the Counter Fraud Authority National Investigation Service (NIS). The remit of the NIS is to investigate allegations of fraud or other economic crime against the National Health Service. Investigators are experts in investigations and investigative practice who obtain and present the evidence required to prove or disprove allegations of fraud and corruption within the NHSCFA remit.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive investigative function to the Fraud Investigation Lead (FIL) and/or Officer in Charge (OIC).
* Undertake investigative work to obtain and present the evidence required to prove or disprove allegations of fraud.
* Apply appropriate sanctions, whether disciplinary, civil and/or criminal, with all work carried out to the standard required by the appropriate Courts.
Requirements
* Experience as a Fraud Investigator or in a similar investigative role.
* Must have a NPPV2 (as required for the post).
Work Arrangements
We offer flexible, hybrid, office and home-based working. Offices are in Coventry and Newcastle upon Tyne, or our London office. In the London area, working there may attract a High-Cost Area Supplement where appropriate.
