The Role
Navigation sensors sit at the heart of advanced guided systems. We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a passion for navigation technologies to help shape the next generation of high-precision guidance solutions operating in complex and contested environments.
You will join a growing, high-performing engineering team focused on the specification, assessment and integration of advanced navigation sensors including GNSS receivers, anti-jam systems and inertial measurement units.
This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology, international collaboration and high-profile development programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing

Defining and assessing requirements for navigation sensors
*
Evaluating GNSS receivers, anti-jam units and inertial sensors
*
Supporting integration, sub-assembly trials and performance validation
*
Monitoring supplier and technology roadmaps to inform future capability investment
*
Contributing to multinational research and development programmes
*
Supporting system-level performance modelling and trade studies
You will work closely with hardware, systems, modelling and programme teams to deliver robust navigation capability in demanding operational environments.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
*
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related discipline
*
Experience within defence, aerospace or other safety-critical engineering environments
*
Strong technical understanding of navigation systems, avionics or RF engineering
*
Systems engineering mindset with the ability to work across disciplines
Highly Desirable
*
Knowledge of GNSS functionality and multi-constellation systems
*
Experience with anti-jam technologies and CRPA systems
*
Awareness of jamming and spoofing threats
*
Modelling experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink
*
Project delivery exposure and commercial awareness

Working Pattern
Hybrid working model with 3 days per week onsite due to the nature of the work.
