ZOE HOME FOR YOUTH (ZHY) CAMPUS SAFETY MANAGER ZOE HOME FOR YOUTH (ZHY) CAMPUS SAFETY MANAGER Reports to STRTP ADMINISTRATOR Full-Time Description: ZOE International is a faith-based Christian organization whose mission is to reach every person with the gospel and rescue every child from human trafficking. The Campus Safety Manager ensures the safety of the campus, youth, and staff through the enforcement of campus safety protocols and implementation of crisis prevention and intervention strategies. Responsibilities: Youth Engagement and General Leadership: Build rapport with youth Assist with transportation as needed Attend and complete all required CSEC or facility-related training; advise on suggested reform as needed Obtain certification as a ProACT trainer and train staff as directed Provide ProAct training for all staff Assist with the prevention and intervention of incidents and critical situations involving youth, staff, and/or property in a trauma-informed, problem-solving manner Assist in addressing first aid/medical emergencies as needed Address any environmental threats such as earthquakes, fires, flooding, etc., in a manner consistent with evacuating and training procedures. Assist with ensuring a safe evacuation of all youth and staff. Support direct care staff on shift acting in a Facility Manager role as needed Assist with the recruitment of qualified staff as needed Participate in staff meetings and staff trainings Perform other functions as directed by supervisory staff The Campus Safety Manager ensures the safety of the campus, youth, and staff through the enforcement of campus safety protocols and implementation of crisis prevention and intervention strategies. Requirements: (Applicants must meet one or more of the following requirement categories.) Bachelor’s degree 2 years full time experience, or its equivalent, working with the population to be served, or equivalent education or experience, as determined by CDSS. Experience shall be verified as having been performed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of the population served. 2 years experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home or STRTP Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills Experience volunteering or working with teens ProAct Trainer Certification Excellent interpersonal skills (empathy, listening skills, and verbal communication skills) Current CPR and First Aid certification Valid California Driver’s license and a good driving record (Department of Motor Vehicle printout required.) Good physical health to perform duties including standing and walking for long periods of time, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds. (Good health must be verified by a physician or physician-supervised medical professional and must include a tuberculosis screening that is given not more than one year prior to employment or seven days after the first day of employment and is repeated annually thereafter.) Criminal record clearance Willingness to sign and adhere to ZOE International’s Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, and other policies and procedures Additional Information: Verbal fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required
