JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Duty Officer / Caretaker / Facilities Assistant with excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing caretaking services, liaising with third-party contractors, welcoming visitors, and ensuring the reception, courtyards, paths, car parks, goods in area, plant room, and bin store are clean and tidy. You will also support the wider team in managing meeting room bookings.
You will carry out daily building checks to ensure all equipment and facilities are used safely and effectively.

DUTIES
* Provide high-quality customer service when communicating with tenants, staff, and visitors. Liaise with contractors and support routine enquiries. Assist in managing meeting room bookings.
* Ensure the presentation of reception and communal areas, including courtyards, paths, car parks, goods in area, plant room, and bin store, is maintained to a high standard.
* Perform daily building checks to ensure safety and proper use of equipment and facilities, documenting issues and reporting urgent matters to the Centre Manager.
* Support health and safety checks, including testing fire and intruder alarm systems, emergency lighting, fire equipment, water temperatures, and maintaining clear exits. Report issues promptly.
* Assist in maintaining building security, operate CCTV and video systems, and participate in out-of-hours access arrangements.
* Regularly check the building to ensure it is maintained to the highest standards, including emergency cleaning when necessary.
* Work effectively as part of a team, sharing information, attending meetings, and supporting colleagues to ensure smooth facility operations.
