About the Team:
We work are a Family Help Team and work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi-agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO's and soon NHS Nurse - all working together to meet the holistic needs to our families to reduce risk and keep families together.
We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans which meet each individual family's needs and is used with every family, to help them identify positive change in order to develop a plan that works for them. About the Role:
We are recruiting for the role of 2 Family Practitioners covering Nuneaton and Bedworth
5. Completing statutory assessments
6. Working with families and other professionals through Targeted Early Help and Child in Need support (Family Help)
7. Managing a caseload
8. Undertaking direct work with children and delivering interventions to parents
9. Supporting the implementation of and working within a multi-agency team
10. Responding to complex issues and situations which may have a significant impact on children
11. Co-ordinating, chairing, attending and planning key meetings
12. Providing practical and emotional support to families, using a restorative, relational approach
13. Developing plans that address need, with families, and reviewing these regularly
14. 37 hrs per week

Key Requirements:
17. Monday to Thursday 9am till 5.30pm & Friday 9am till 5pm
18. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
19. Ability to work well as a team and independently, using initiative
20. A relevant Child and Family Qualification to Level 3, with evidence of substantial experience as a Family Support Worker, or a NVQ Level 4 equivalent qualification in a relevant Child and Family/Youth Justice subject
21. An understanding of family dynamics and child development and how parenting affects this
22. Experience of delivering effective parenting guidance and support
23. Ability to work under a high degree of pressure and respond to crisis, as well as emotional demands of the role
24. Good communication, both written and verbally
25. Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with families and agencies (internally and externally)
