We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced school in Bristol. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Deliver creative and differentiated classes to small groups of students with high needs.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement EHCP targets.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and carers where appropriate.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist settings).
- A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
Essential requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.
Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
