The Role
We are seeking Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The delivery model requires flexibility to teach on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
What you'll be doing
As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Global Banking School, you will deliver management related modules. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all learning, teaching and assessment duties, and keep up to date with latest developments and student support practices.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
* Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
* Stay current with latest developments in your field and student support practices
* Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
* Hold a master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
* Have UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
* Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
* Have experience of accurate reporting and maintain thorough, organised student records
* Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills
* Work with diverse groups of people
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
* Have experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
