Role Purpose:
A key member of the River Cruise team at Riviera Travel. As market leaders in RC, it is critical that we continue to innovate, offer best in market value and deliver exceptional guest experience. This role requires all-round ability, supporting the wider team, but leading on the commercial side. Creating, curating, contracting and evolving shore experiences as well other required services during the cruise.
Key Responsibilities:
* To oversee all shoreside supplier contracting, pricing and set up of all our river cruise products.
* Monitor & analyse competitors – product and pricing, and benchmark against our product and present to Head of RC and Head of Commercial Finance to regularly to review product.
* Use Anaplan costing system to store costs, ensuring high levels of accuracy and becoming a subject matter expert on the Anaplan system
* Proactively supply quality information regarding our contracted services to Operations, Sales, Cruise Directors and other stakeholders
* Propose capacity requirements for all land stays associated with cruises, and to source appropriate suppliers, provide costings including additional supplements
* Own the P&L of all costs related to river cruises, outside of core charter costs
* Lead on H&S requirements to ensure full compliance
* Work with Quality Manager to make adaptations as required from guest and cruise director feedback
* Deal with any hotel issues such as cancellation or overbooking issues.
* Work with Capacity Management to ensure all our cruises offer the best possible transport options, reviewing changes to airlines and routes on a regular basis.
* Work closely with Revenue Management to action implementation of any capacity changes or price changes.
* Process any invoices for excursions, extensions and city stays ensuring payments within the required deadlines.
* Undertake overseas visits as necessary to ensure optimal guest experience
* Support Head of Product on emerging projects, taking the lead wherever required

* Ability to build a strong relationship with key suppliers and understand and work well with different cultures
* Strong problem-solving skills
* The ability to methodically manage a demanding workload during peak periods
* Ability to work within a team, displaying signs of being a team player as well as demonstrating the ability to work alone
* Ability to work cross-departmental and build relationships throughout the business
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and numeracy is a necessity, with strong commercial awareness
* An effective communicator – with suppliers and internal customers
* Pro-active and able to use initiative
* A willingness to be flexible with working hours and responsibilities.
The salary for this role is up to £55k, dependant upon skills and experience. We operate hybrid working, with 2-3 days a week in the office.
