Known for its emphasis on creativity, innovation, and practical learning, the school is looking to hire a passionate and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join their team in February 2026.

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Design Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with KS5 teaching experience considered a desirable bonus. You may cover areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, and CAD/CAM. You’ll be expected to plan engaging lessons, assist students in developing practical skills, and maintain a safe, well-equipped workshop environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and creative Design Technology lessons
* Encourage hands-on learning through a variety of design and manufacturing projects
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
* Participate in wider school activities and responsibilities
Candidate Profile
* QTS or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
* Experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary school level
* Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and workshop safety
* Creative, practical teaching style
* Effective classroom management and behaviour skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
