About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer/Service Technician to join our team at our Walsall depot. This hybrid role covers both depot-based and field-based work across the West Midlands, offering excellent variety and exposure.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer with diesel engine expertise who is looking to develop their career within a global, forward-thinking organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment across both the depot and customer sites.
2. Preparing, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.
3. Completing major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
4. Diagnosing faults and delivering efficient repairs to minimise downtime.
5. Collaborating closely with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to support seamless operations.
6. Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
7. Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment, ensuring all equipment meets quality standards.
You’ll Have
8. Mechanical experience working with plant equipment, pumps, generators, and diesel engines.
9. Strong working knowledge of EHSQ requirements.
10. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E-related apprenticeship, or equivalent.
11. A full UK driving licence.
