We are currently seeking a salaried General Practitioner to join our Hywel Dda University Health Board managed practice, Meddygfa Penrhyn/Peninsula Practice, Solva. The practice joined the Health Board's portfolio from 1 April 2023, following the resignation of the GMS contract. This role offers the opportunity to serve a patient population of approximately 4,800. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, Nurse/Paramedic Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Technicians, supported by experienced nursing and administrative staff.
The Health Board values multidisciplinary teamwork and plans to expand the team further. We seek a Salaried GP who can provide clinical leadership and deliver a mix of face-to-face, telephone triage, and remote consultations. Our practice utilizes E-Consult and has adopted Workflow Optimization. You will have the opportunity to engage in professional development, participate in a monthly Journal Club, and receive peer support from the Deputy Medical Director's team, your GP colleagues, and the Primary Care Cluster Locality Lead. There are also opportunities for training and specialization in areas of interest.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality general medical services to registered patients, including temporary residents, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
2. Manage patient consultations and clinical care, including home visits when necessary.
3. Offer clinical leadership and oversight to the clinical team.
4. Conduct telephone and virtual consultations, managing patient care remotely when appropriate.
5. Perform telephone triage as needed.
6. Maintain accurate and legible patient records, contribute to electronic data recording, and participate in audits as directed.
