We have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Motorsport Finance team, ensuring compliance with all Prodrive policies and reporting deadlines, and providing financial support to the month-end process.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to completion of the month end reporting process, including profit and loss, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Create and post journals including calculation of accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
Present information to local management including reviewing the financial performance against budget and analysing any variances.
Completion of year-end audit file and liaison with Auditors.
To develop and improve management information for finance and operational managers.
To develop, expand and continuously review financial processes and control procedures considering all internal and external stakeholder requirements.
To provide ad-hoc financial support to aid decision making.
Updating programme cash flows on a timely basis.
Working with programme leads to gather data on KPIs and using this information to drive improvements in the business.
Who are we looking for?
Out ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience within a management accounting environment, and be part qualified/QBE with a continued commitment to achieve the further accounting qualifications. You will be an excellent team player, willing to learn with a flexible approach to different tasks and changing requirements and have a proven ability to converse with all levels of staff. Strong competency in IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, and the ability or experience of using a fully integrated accounting system is essential. You should be a self-starter, able to work to specific deadlines and deliverables, and capable of creating both financial and non-financial reports for operational and executive use. Previous experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering company would be advantageous but not essential.
