Reporting to, and working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a stable and supportive Manufacturing Engineering team.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will ensure the business site KPIs are executed as planned with regard to the key metrics influenced by the quality department. You will schedule your workload to complete key tasks such as FAIRs, Internal Audits, and Supplier Approvals. You will drive a proactive positive culture by working as part of a team/cross-functional team with all departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct internal audits in line with schedule to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and identify deficiencies/improvements.
2. Identify all FAIR requirements and complete them in line with schedule to avoid impacting deliveries.
3. Maintain supplier approvals through the database.
4. Deal with and resolve issues with purchased material documentation (Certificates of Conformance, FAIRs, etc.).
5. Raise concessions for purchased raw materials related to conformity to material specifications (Non-dimensional).
6. Complete internal audits as scheduled.
7. Ensure all FAIR requirements are identified, and FAIRs are completed without disrupting scheduled deliveries.
8. Ensure all sub-tier suppliers hold and maintain appropriate approvals related to customer and regulatory requirements.
9. Achieve all objectives in PDP within the agreed timeframe.
10. Maintain compliance with Customer & Regulatory requirements with no major findings during external audits.
Job Requirements
* Time served with 4+ years of experience within a quality/engineering role.
* Requires in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
* Constantly displays integrity and respect.
* Bases decisions on facts and adopts a disciplined approach.
* Must be self-motivated and possess facilitation skills for team settings.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometrical tolerances, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills (RCA).
