We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Site Supervisor to join our team for a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is based in East London and involves supervising a construction site dedicated to building a new theatre.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a significant cultural project in East London. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate on-site activities and workflows.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and supervise safe working practices.
* Maintain site cleanliness and security.
* Manage and communicate with subcontractors and site personnel.
* Organise and manage site deliveries.
* Plan crane and plant usage.
* Coordinate works with the landlord and their contractors.
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
* Carry out site inductions for new operatives and visitors.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor in both structure-based build and fit-out projects.
* Relevant qualifications/certifications in construction site management or related fields (Essential: SSSTS, SMSTS, or NVQ in site management).
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Computer literacy.
* Preference given to applicants residing in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Contract Details
* Position: Construction Site Supervisor
* Contract Type: Up to 6 Months Fixed Term
* Location: East London
* Start Date: As soon as possible
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience
* Work schedule: 5 days a week, including weekends and public holidays
* Potential for permanent employment after the contract
