Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Wakefield! At Prospero, we work with local councils and schools to arrange 1:1 tuition in English and Maths for students in need of extra provisions.
Please note: To be considered for this role, you must: 1. Have a Right to Work within the UK. 2. Have at least 4 months experience working with children in the UK. 3. Have a DBS registered on the update service (ideal, but not required, as you can apply for a DBS through us!) Heres a few roles we have available at the moment in Wakefield: WF6 Location: WF6, within the students home. Start Date: ASAP, if youre cleared for work, or September 2025. End Date: Ongoing Hours: 14 per week - 5 hours Maths, 5 hours English, 4 hours Music. Must take place within school hours, 9am - 4pm, ideally 5 days a week. Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour. The Role: English, Maths and Music tuition for a Year 12 aged student working below expected age range. Student has recently moved into care and his SEN status is SEMH.WF2 Location: WF2, within the students home. Start Date: ASAP, if youre cleared for work, or September 2025. End Date: Ongoing Hours: 6 hours per week, taking place in school hours 9am - 4pm Mon - Fri. Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour. The Role: English and Maths tuition for a Year 9 student working below ARE. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS2 - KS3. WF17 Location: WF17, within the students home. Start Date: ASAP, if youre cleared for work, or September 2025. End Date: Ongoing Hours: 6 hours per week, taking place in school hours 9am - 4pm Mon - Fri. Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour. The Role: English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student working below ARE. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS3. Students SEN Status is ASD and ADHD so experience in this area is desired. As we move closer to the School Term ending, well be looking at setting up roles for a September 2025 start date. Please note that local councils do not allow Summer Holiday tuition due to funding; if you are not already cleared for work, the start date for roles will be September 2025. Please note: If you have not registered with us prior, you will need to register with us. To do so, you will need: 1. To hold Right to Work within the UK 2. At least 4 months experience working with children within the UK. 3. An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (recommended but not required as you can apply for a DBS through us directly). 4. A minimum of two professional references from work within the last two years, and professional references covering any work youve had with children or vulnerable adults within the last two years.
