Perform scheduled servicing and unscheduled repairs to police vehicles. Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to ensure vehicle availability. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and compliance documents. Ensure all work is carried out in line with COSHH, Health & Safety, and risk assessment regulations. Provide expert engineering advice and technical support to vehicle users. Operate diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle faults. Recover and assess broken-down or accident-damaged vehicles.Essential Requirements: Qualified in motor vehicle service and repair – City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent. Post-apprenticeship experience in servicing and repairing vehicles. Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostics, repair techniques, and engineering practices. Strong problem-solving ability with a systematic approach to prioritising tasks. Good communication skills – able to liaise with officers and staff at all levels. Full UK driving licence.
