About the role
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities are recruiting for three full-time Education Administrators (Taught Programmes) to support particular areas of our taught programmes portfolio (both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught programmes). These positions are available from 1st July .
The postholders will provide specialist administration to designated taught degree programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of programme administration. They will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated taught degree programmes and beyond. They will also provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student, and programme records.
The post holder will be part of a wider Faculty Education and Student Experience (EASE) team, line managed through the Faculty, as part of our Faculty’s Professional Services (PS) staff community. They will be expected to spend time physically located with the academic programme team(s) they are supporting, on a regular basis. This will be discussed, agreed and periodically reviewed with the Line Manager.
1. This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
2. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.
3. This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site, in line with UCL’s .
4. Location: Two of the positions will involve supporting programmes delivered at our Bloomsbury campus, and will be based primarily at that location when working on-site. The third position will involve supporting programmes delivered at both the Bloomsbury and UCL East (Stratford) campuses, and travel between the campuses will be required.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with experience of administrative work in a busy office environment. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise and organise their own variable workload, and be able to use their good interpersonal skills to interact effectively and regularly with a wide range of staff and students. Clear written and verbal communication skills, combined with good computer skills and a working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc), are also key requirements of the role. Experience of providing administrative support in a Higher Education (HE) setting, including the use of student records systems and virtual learning environments, are desirable.
