We’re looking for a Pharmacy Assistant who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real contribution, helping to keep the practice running smoothly and making a difference every day. The Pharmacy Assistant role plays a key part in delivering a seamless pharmacy service across our Small Animal, Equine, and Farm Departments. You’ll work closely with our fabulous team of Vets, Nurses, Receptionists, and other colleagues, so strong communication skills are really important. Making sure we have the right medications in the right place at the right time helps keep everything on track. Being organised, thinking on your feet, and managing multiple requests efficiently will be where you thrive. As you grow into the role of Pharmacy Assistant, you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas and contribute to improving the way we operate within the Pharmacy Team. You’ll also need to be flexible, stepping in to help during periods of leave and using your problem-solving skills to keep everything running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Checking, unpacking and storing stock deliveries
Processing orders and maintaining accurate pharmacy and client records using both our practice management system and Excel
Conduct regular audits/stock checks to ensure accuracy
Monitor fridge temperatures and carry out regular audits
Manage and oversee the movement of stock between sites
Respond to emails and take action on relevant tasks
Check product dates and oversee stock rotation
Source and research products
Resolve pharmacy-related tasks in a timely manner
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the pharmacy
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have: Clinical and/or pharmacy experience however this is not essential as full training can be provided
Intermediate IT skills and ability to learn and adapt
Calm, focused approach with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities
Real team player, happy to get stuck in
Clear and constructive communication skills
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to our rural location
