Prospero Teaching is currently speaking with Qualified Teachers (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are planning their next move for the September start in the Portsmouth area. We are working in partnership with a variety of primary schools, secondary schools, and specialist SEN provisions who are preparing to appoint teachers across different subjects and key stages.

We welcome applications from teachers across all subject specialisms, as well as those with primary or SEN experience.

The Role:

Deliver lessons within your subject area or key stage
Plan and deliver engaging and well‑structured teaching
Monitor progress and provide clear, effective feedback
Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their potential
Maintain positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
Contribute to department planning and wider school life
Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT
Strong subject knowledge or understanding of the primary curriculum
Confident classroom practitioner or developing teaching practice
Effective behaviour management skills
Organised and motivated to deliver high‑quality teaching
Open to opportunities across a range of school settings
Passionate about supporting pupils' development and progress

Contract Details:

Position: Qualified Teacher (QTS) / ECT
Location: Portsmouth
Start Date: September
Working Pattern: Full‑time
Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
Key Stages: Primary, Secondary, SEN

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

QTS required (or working towards for ECTs)
Relevant teaching experience or placements
Safeguarding training can be provided
