Overview
Behaviour and Attendance Support Assistant required within a 'Good' Blackburn Primary School.
Teaching Personnel have a strong focus this term on delivering focused behaviour and attendance support in a range of Primary schools due to demand for such support assistants.
Responsibilities
* Undertake CPD, including subsidised TEAM TEACH courses.
* Encourage self-esteem, confidence and academic progress.
* Work alongside a specific pupil with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis.
* Provide experienced 1:1 behaviour support to manage pupil behaviour in a classroom setting.
* Support a Year 6 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
* Contribute to delivering focused behaviour and attendance support across KS1 and KS2.
* Start after ASAP; role runs until May 2026 with potential to secure a permanent position.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in a Primary setting (voluntary, temporary or permanent).
* Passion to work on a 1:1 basis with children with behavioural difficulties.

* All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced DBS check.
* Safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
