Job Description
3. Carry out category and project-related procurement activities through strategic contract negotiations, implementation, and ongoing relationship management
4. Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on end-to-end procurement processes, enabling best practice procurement across all
5. Identify opportunities for improvements and value-add in processes, procedures, and during procurement activities, including managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial terms.
6. Identify and mitigate procurement, supplier, and supply chain risks to the organisation.
7. Maintain the Contract Register, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate, with timely notifications to the business to enable necessary procurement activities to be carried out.
8. Ensure contracts have appropriate supplier performance controls enabled through effective category strategies and sourcing exercises
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Manager should have:
9. MCIPS or Working towards MCIPS or demonstrable procurement expertise
10. Strong written communication skills, able to write complex reports
11. Experience of supplier negotiations and relationship management
12. Strong ability to influence using multiple styles as appropriate
13. Strong commercial acumen demonstrated in previous roles
14. Experience in negotiating contracts
