Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager. In this role you will be responsible for expanding business through the day-to-day management and coaching of a quotation management team and inside sellers; ensuring timely response to inbound leads and requests for quotes and proactive development of accounts with current, dormant and new customers to increase organic growth for Element.
The Technical Sales Manager should display and cascade an enterprise mentality and create a positive environment. You will also responsible for the prioritisation and assignment of their resources, setting clear goals and priorities and tracking performance toward goals for their direct reports. You will supervise a team of Application Sales Engineers and Customer Service Representatives and may also supervise Business Development Associates.

Responsibilities
* Oversee the Inside Sellers and Quotation Management Team
* Set clear goals and track performance to goals for direct reports
* Define expectation around response time, follow up on quotations, outbound calling, pipeline management, revenue targets
* Ensure their team uses desired behaviours and actions to execute the sales strategy
* Build a competitive and motivating atmosphere
* Assess and coach direct reports, including making joint calls, and provide them with tools necessary to improve the required skills and competencies
* Ensure direct reports are prioritising highest opportunities and / or accounts for the greatest potential impact
* Achieve rollup sales goal through effective coaching and managing of direct reports
* Actively utilise CRM to monitor pipeline and provide coaching toward direct reports to ensure contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information is added and accurate call / visit logs are entered
* Build and maintain a working knowledge of Element’s service offerings
* Ensure compliance with all Element policies
Skills / Qualifications
* Approximately 5 years of sales experience, including quoting and management experience
* Technical understanding of EMC, Radio, Safety Testing, Advisory Certification would be highly desirable
* Ability to build rapport / relationships with operational stakeholders
* Confident of being able to read and interpret documents such as customer quotes / contracts, marketing materials, and customer testing specifications
* Seek to resolve practical customer problems
* Flexibility to represent the company at a broad range of events / projects in the community, with customers and within the company
* Can remain calm when faced with pressure
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office
* Good interpersonal skills, can interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements
* Some overnight travel may be required
* This role can be based at any of our locations ranging from Malvern, Wimborne, Guildford, Oxford, Skelmesdale
