Senior Building Services Manager - Manchester

Are you a seasoned professional in building services with a passion for large-scale, high-impact projects? GRAHAM, a leader in the construction industry, is expanding and looking for a Senior Building Services Manager to join our team for a £m Student Accommodation Project in Greater Manchester. This is a key role that will drive the technical management and successful delivery of cutting-edge, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA).
Role Overview: As the Senior Building Services Manager, you will oversee the management and coordination of complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design and build subcontract packages. You will work across multiple residential blocks, ensuring that the highest standards of design, construction, and commissioning are met. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the project’s progress while adhering to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the management of high-value MEP subcontract packages on large-scale student accommodation projects.
2. Oversee off-site and on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project objectives and budgets.
3. Drive cost control processes, ensuring strict adherence to financial constraints.
4. Manage change processes and document deviations with clients for approval.
5. Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient project delivery.
6. Provide technical expertise in building systems such as electrical, mechanical, fire safety, security, water treatment, and high-voltage systems.
What You Bring:
7. 10+ years in construction, with at least 3 years in a senior role, particularly managing MEP subcontracts.
8. Proven experience in large-scale projects with values exceeding £10m.
9. Expertise in off-site modular construction and Passivhaus MEP design is a plus.
10. Strong leadership skills with a focus on client satisfaction, innovation, and team development.
11. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
