About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the classroom every day. As a TA at Bligh Primary School (Key Stage 1 & 2), you'll support teaching and learning across the curriculum, working closely with class teachers and other key staff to help pupils achieve their best academically, socially, and emotionally.
Whether you're supporting a small group, assisting with whole-class activities, or helping a child who needs a little extra encouragement, your role will be varied, rewarding and vital to our school community.
In this role, you will:
* Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
* Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups
* Help pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning
* Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the classroom experience
Who you AreWe're looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about helping children learn and grow
* Flexible, proactive and eager to learn
* Skilled in communication and a team player
* Calm, kind and encouraging, even under pressure
* Committed to promoting a positive school culture
Ideally, you will:
* Hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
* Have experience working with primary-aged children
* Have strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A–C or equivalent)
