We are seeking to recruit a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate, to conduct cutting edge research covering digital twins, AI/machine learning data analytics, resilient network communication protocol design, network simulation.
You will work with the UK government - Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project, CRDT-Port - Developing a Crisis and Resilience Digital Twin for UK Port-centric Transport Systems, which is in collaboration with various leading universities and industrial partners. You should be able to demonstrate (via research publications and track record) a research background in one or more of the following areas: digital twins, AI/machine learning, network communication protocol design, network simulation, digital twins software development.
You will be expected to write and submit high-quality research papers, disseminate research results by giving talks and tutorials to our industrial partners, at conferences and other institutions, assist with preparing grant proposals, and undertake other research activities as needed. The ideal applicant will have a track record of good-quality publications and development/programming skills in areas of relevance to the project and the willingness to undertake ambitious and challenging research. For more details, please see the detailed Person Specification for this position.
