All About the Role
Based at our Lilleshall Steel Services Site in Gloucester we have a new opening for a Warehouse/Saw Operative. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.
The shifts hours are Monday to Friday 05:30am to 14:00pm then Monday to Thursday 12.00pm to 20.30pm with Fridays 11.00am to 19.30pm
Specific tasks could include:
1. Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
2. Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
3. Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
4. Operate saws and handle steel
5. Transferring stock to its location using Forklift trucks, side loaders and cranes.
6. Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
7. Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
8. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

Essential Skills for the role:
16. The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative ideally with both bandsaw and crane experience.
17. Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
18. Fork-Lift and Side-loader is desirable but not essential.
19. Health & Safety awareness.
20. Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
