Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location, but open to candidates in London/UK willing to travel to HQ once a month, expenses covered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extended to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the global Visual Merchandising strategy by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event design, and ensuring brand message consistency across retailer channels. Responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand strategy and business goals across all physical distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage VM execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, working with stakeholders on POS materials for all points of distribution.
* Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for VM projects.
* Maintain the VM Master List for all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
* Align retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
* Create VM design briefs based on input from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
* Develop planograms and optimize shelf productivity with the Sales team, considering POS manufacturing, materials, and lead times.
* Manage POs, track CAPEX/OPEX costs, and maintain the VM budget and tracker.
Role requirements:
* At least 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, especially in Beauty or FMCG sectors.
* Bachelor Degree in Design: Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects of VM and working with suppliers.
* Ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
* Knowledge of Project Management principles for large-scale projects.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects.
* Confident in creating and presenting VM proposals to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design programs like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to prioritize effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset, capable of building stakeholder relationships.
